Are you living under stress?

This week the Radio Television Hong Kong and the Chinese University of Hong Kong released the results of a survey concerning the psychological stress of people in Hong Kong.  The survey found that the main sources of stress were (in descending order) related to work, finance, family and personal relationships.  Moreover, more male than female participants considered themselves as under high level of stress.  Greater stress was found among the participants aged 30 to 49, those with higher education level (i.e. tertiary education or above) and those who were professionals.  On the other hand, participants with lower education level (primary education or below), relatively low monthly personal and family income (below $10,000), and those who worked as blue collars or drivers generally considered that their financial stress was greater than pressure at work.  As for the female participants, family stress was more significant.

Are you one of those under stress?  The effect of stress can sometimes be positive, for example, small amount of stress may improve performance by making people more energetic.  However, prolonged stress or too much stress may affect health.  If you want to use an interactive way to find out whether you are living under stress, please visit "Lively Mood" of the Mens Health Tests section in our website.  Also, don't miss the tips for relieving stress in the section of "Stress"!
