Quiz on Cancer Prevention

Try our quick health quiz to test your knowledge on cancer prevention, and find out whether your lifestyle habits are putting you at risk of cancer or protecting you from cancer. Answer each question as best as you can.

1. Which of the following best describes your daily consumption of grain products?

N.B.
One serving is about one slice of bread, 1/2 bowl of rice or pasta, or 3/4 cup of breakfast cereal.
Examples of whole grains: whole wheat bread, brown rice, and whole grain breakfast cereal.
Examples of refined grains: white bread, white rice, and refined breakfast cereal.

Recommendation: Whole grains are rich in dietary fibres and contain several important vitamins and minerals – all of which are important for good health and for preventing cancer. It is recommended to eat at least six servings of a variety of breads and grains everyday, and choose mostly whole grain bread and whole grain cereal instead of refined (processed) grain products.
