Quitting smoking is never too late!

The British Medical Journal has recently published findings from the largest-ever study about smoking.  This research was conducted by Professor Richard Doll of the Oxford University on 34,439 doctors aged 21 years or above for 50 years since year 1951.

This study found that smokers on average die 10 years earlier than non-smokers.  But the good news is that harmful effects of smoking start to reduce from the day you quit smoking.  If one quits smoking at age 50 years, the odds of dying pre-maturely due to smoking can be reduced by half.  If one quits smoking at age 30 years, the odds of dying prematurely can almost be avoided completely.

If you are a smoker, quit smoking today!  Show your care for your family or friends by encouraging them to quit smoking today if they smoke.

Quitting smoking is never too late!
