Smoking and Male Sexual Function

You probably know well the message of "Smoking is Hazardous to Health", and perhaps you have also heard of "Smoking Can Lead to Impotence".  But if you are a smoker, do you know what is your risk of having sexual dysfunction/erectile dysfunction?

The Department of Community Medicine of the Faculty of Medicine of University of Hong Kong, the Family Planning Association of Hong Kong and Kwong Wah Hospital have recently conducted a study on "Smoking and Sexual Dysfunction in Male".  It was found that smokers (especially those who smoke 20 cigarettes or more a day) have 50% higher risk of having sexual dysfunction (or impotence).  The longer one smokes, the greater the damage smoking induces.

Hey guys, quit smoking today if you are a smoker to reduce your risk of having sexual dysfunction.

For information on quitting smoking, please visit the "Smoke Free & Fresh" section on this website and the "Smoking Cessation" section of the Department of Health's Tobacco Control Office's website.
